Casa Del Caribe Inn - San Juan

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The shared kitchen was convenient for cooking. I appreciated the free Wi-Fi and tv. The location is great for exploring nearby attractions 😊

I was happy that those other very negative reviews were wrong. Casa del Caribe is perfectly adequate considering the price. And the location--in Condado--was great! Yes, I had to jiggle the light switch to make the lights come on, and yes, the water in the shower was hard to adjust. But considering what I paid, I was happy to be a little rustic for a couple of days.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't to my taste, but there is a Starbuck's across the street. Although I called from the airport, as instructed, I stood on the sidewalk for 20-25 minutes while waiting for someone to let me in. (There is nobody at the desk after five or six p.m.) I hope they will kick in a few extra dollars to get a router that will get the wireless signal throughout the property--not just in the commons area.

This place suits me perfectly! With free wi-fi, a tv, and a shared kitchen, I find everything I need. The staff even helped me find my lost necklace during my first stay. I highly recommend it!

The breakfast was amazing with orange juice and the pastries and the standard milk, no reason to complain. I liked the room, the bed was comfortable. Location: the hotel was close enough to beaches, food, and old San Juan as well as a garden;))

Consider investing in better plumbing to avoid issues, improve outdoor facilities like cleaning the empty pond and adding outdoor lighting!!! Upgrade rooms for comfort and cleanliness, including better wifi service!!!

The people there were outstanding hosts and very helpful in letting us know where to go for our entertainment on the island. If you have people who want to be located in the entertainment district of the island at a low cost, this will be the hotel to go to.

The place was essentially clean, but had a moldy smell in the rooms and I found a roach in the closet. Due to the humid coditions in the rooms we had a difficult time taking showers without continuing to sweat, but overall the people who run the hotel were very nice.

I liked the the fact that the room was dark at night and very quiet.

The bedroom toilet didn't flush very well.

During my stay, the friendly staff really made a difference while exploring local attractions like La Placita and Condado Lagoon. The location was fantastic for walking to nearby places, and I loved the calm nature feel with surrounding plants and trees. The Wi-Fi was spotty at times, and the room could have used more lighting options.

Liked:-proximity to dining opportunities, to the beach and public transportation. The Casa could/should capitalize on its proximity to Ashford Avenue which is the main street in the Condado area.

Opportunities for improvement:-an effort to improve the offerings at the :"Continental Breakfast" would have been welcome. My wife & I chose to go out for breakfast most mornings. We are not - cornflakes in a box - type people.

The outdoor eating area offers a relaxed vibe for late-night chats, and it's conveniently located just two blocks from the beach. You can find plenty of restaurants right across the street, perfect for satisfying your hunger after a day out.

The room door had a simple button lock that felt insecure, and we were met with an unsettling experience of an unlocked door upon arrival. Our stay was marred by an abundance of mosquitoes and other biting insects that the staff dismissed as a common nuisance. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room effectively, leaving us uncomfortably hot on several occasions.

The WiFi was free. The price was reasonable. They let us leave our luggage there until check in time. Gave us Info on the bus schedule to Old San Juan. Felt secure with the locked gate. Nice chocolate confection on check out.

Coffee was not good. If we hadn't arrived before 5 Pm we would have had to make an international call to get someone to check in.

It was just an appropriate option for a mini-break over the weekend in San Juan with high value for money. The friendly staff even checked in to see if I needed anything, a nice touch. Be sure to enjoy the close proximity to the beach.
